Ridgeway Farm, Wiltshire

Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire and Bristol offices jointly commissioned Focus on Design to assist in delivering 640 residential units on former farmland at Ridgeway Farm following the granting of outline permission.

After some preliminary appraisal work, our scope of work was extended to include the redesign and production of a new suite of Parameter Plans, including a new Masterplan to make the scheme more viable and deliverable. We worked closely with Wiltshire District Council and this informed the detailed design work for the reserved matters applications.

We designed and produced a full set of exhibition boards and attended the public consultation event with key stakeholders, local ward members and the public in attendance.

The site was split into two separate applications, the first was for 218 homes and the second for 422 homes, both of which have now been granted approval. Both applications were supported by our civil engineers at submission stage and included fully detailed engineered schemes post submission.

The scheme reflects the high quality local vernacular of the nearby villages in both traditional and contemporary styles.
