With nearly 22 years’ experience in the construction industry, Richard began his career as a Draughtsman with an engineering consultancy in Buckinghamshire. After 7 years he joined Rialto Homes before moving onto Redrow Homes as a Design Engineer where he held posts within three operating regions gaining vast experience over the course of four years. Following this he returned to consultancy with Mason Richards partnership as a Senior Design Engineer.

Richard joined the Focus team in September 2002 as a Senior Engineer and has worked on residential schemes for a wide range of clients in the South West area. Since becoming an Associate with the practice Richard has become responsible for the engineering function of the business. Leading a team of experienced engineers and technicians in providing a full engineering service, from advice and support for the architectural function, to fully detailed engineering designs through to technical approvals.
